Cinema S--thole: The Dangers of Cite Soleil, in Port au Prince, Haiti

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

Sorry, guys.

This video came heavily recommended, and so I re-posted it without first playing it. Unfortunately, the girl who made it speaks and writes poorly. If you’re going to watch it, start at 1:20. Prior to that, it’s blah-blah-blahey.

This is a short movie on the violence of Cite Soleil, a slum in Port Au Prince, Haiti. Exerpts of this movie are from the Ghosts of CIte Soleil, a documentary on ganglife in this slum.

Please do not let this keep you from going to Haiti. This could happen anywhere even in America. Most of this information is older and negative. The kidnapping, mugging, and murder rates of Americans in Haiti has dropped to a very low number.

N.S.: Liar. Are you trying to get people raped, robbed, and murdered?!

To Nicolas Plancher Of course it's a lot better now than in 2007 but it's still extremely impoverished

N.S. to Brittany Farah: Poverty has nothing to do with it.

Oh, I thought you were talking about Far Rockaway.

Have you noticed the extreme proliferation of the so called dollar vans on Rockaway Beach Boulevard? All of them are driven or owned by either Africans or blacks from the Caribbean. Is this even legal? I took one once a few years ago. Never again. I didn't feel safe. With the new very long Select Bus Q53, there isn't all that much room on the street. Why are they allowed to do these unlicensed business's? No doubt they're all illegal aliens who can't get work because they are illegals.

Yes I agree with you that the problem is the gangs are armed and I'm not. What kind of gun should I get? Oh, are you talking about Far Rockaway Queens or Haiti? It's all the same. Terrifying as I watch my city being turned into a black controlled slum in front of my eyes. The self appointed white community leaders have blind folds on as they pretend everything is fine. It is not.

I feel sick when I see the "new" combination barbershop/nail saloon opening up next to the Yemeni owned convenience store front. What deli is not owned by Yemeni's?
